2 Drug Peddlers Arrested With Drugs & Empty Vials In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Special Operation Group of Central Police District under Guwahati Police Commissionerate arrested a drug peddler — Madhurjya Dutta alias Tinku from Birkuchi in Noommati on Tuesday. The police have recovered drugs and empty vials from his possession. He was arrested at his father-in-law's house.

In another operation, Satgaon Police arrested a person with 125 bottles of IMFL (Indian-made foreign liquor) in the Taltala area of Satgaon on Monday night. The accused have been identified as Arun Pradhan.

Meanwhile, the Basistha Police arrested one Safiqul Islam from the Sawkuchi area. A resident of Mukalmua, Islam along with his accomplice was peddling drugs across the city in a Santro car, said a police source. During the operation, Islam accomplice — Manowar Ali managed to escape from the spot along with the car.
