BJP Launches 11-Day ‘Tiranga Yatra’ to Honor Armed Forces and Operation Sindoor
NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will commence an 11-day ‘Tiranga Yatra’ across the country starting Tuesday, May 13, in a nationwide outreach effort following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. The initiative aims to rally public sentiment around the bravery of the Indian armed forces and the strategic strikes on terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A senior BJP leader confirmed that the yatra, which will conclude on May 23, seeks to unite citizens across regions, including influential community members, ex-servicemen, and social figures, in a collective show of national pride.
The campaign has been described as non-political in tone, with the focus squarely on national security and unity. “This is an issue that resonates beyond party lines,” said a party functionary. “The aim is to galvanize society around the sacrifices and success of our forces.”
Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president J.P. Nadda held detailed discussions on Sunday to finalize the modalities of the campaign. Senior party leaders and organisational functionaries are expected to participate in the yatra, along with decorated veterans and civil society leaders.
According to party sources, the Tiranga Yatra will serve to inform the public about the objectives and outcomes of Operation Sindoor, emphasizing the strategic and symbolic importance of India’s military response following the Pahalgam terror attack.
