NEW DELHI: India is now achieving heights in terms of new-age technologies, AI inventions and leading its way toward the 5 trillion economy dream, with Atma Nirbharta on the attitude of governance and with progressive administrative capabilities.

Tomorrow that is on May 27th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the biggest drone festival - 'Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022' at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Citing from Prime Minister's office, he shall be communicating with the Kisan drone pilots and startups that would be showcased in the exhibition centre of the Mahotsav and also witnessing open-air drone demonstrations.

Drones are also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), scientifically designed objects to cater to the needs of not just official purposes but also for a layman so that their tracking work, precisely to locate and track activities of human work in a remote manner. Drones or UAVs are very helpful for military operations, to have a wide range of ground views and are also used nowadays in commercial shoots of films and music videos.

Originally drones were developed in the twentieth century for the military actions of drilling, locating and carrying out their hardcore tasks effectively. These devices are seen to be cost-effective and quite advanced in terms of technology. In simple words, it can be termed as an object without man flying it in inside rather than controlling it from the outside hand.

In Drones Rules 2021, The ministry of civil aviation( MoCA), had said to effectively use the drones and asked the ministry of home affairs to grant its use for various important government functions.

Further Rajiv Bansal, the secretary to the MoCA has said to the extent it's used for other govt. as well as non-govt. uses.

The festival will be held for 2 days precisely on the 27th and 28th of May where 1600 delegates, government officials, foreign diplomats, PSUs, private companies and many other top experts and people of government services would be joining.

At the event 70 plus exhibitors will be showing the various uses and purposes of the drones in the event.

It has been told that the Mahotsav will be enlightened with the virtual award of drone pilot certificates, releasing of products, supported by high discussions of panellists, demonstrations of the flying drones, graced by the display of Made in India Drone Taxi prototype etc.
