The 108 GVK EMRI MEGHALAYA App Launched

GUWAHATI: ‘The 108 GVK EMRI MEGHALAYA App’, a citizen-friendly technological application was officially launched in Meghalaya’s capital city, Shillong on Monday by the State’s Health Minister A L Hek.

Notably, the application has been devised by GVK EMRI, Meghalaya with an objective to make emergency services better and accessible. It is designed to provide immediate support to the people in need of emergency medical service and also to reduce the response time in a simple method but yet in an effective way.

The sophisticated features of the application also include the gathering of valuable feedback from the users in real time to share their experiences with emergency services which will further be evaluated to provide improved service delivery.

In addition, it will provide immediate support in case of medical, police and fire emergencies 24×7 and absolutely free of cost. It can access users’ real-time GPS location. Once the user calls using the 108 Meghalaya App, the location will be shared by the ERO with the ambulance team nearest to that location which eventually will reduce the response time.

Following the registration of any users, the application will generate an online confirmation of the case ID and vehicle information. Accordingly, it will upload the details in itself. Significantly, the users can provide feedback for each case.

The application can be used in 2G/3G/4G networks with a working internet connection. The users can download and installed the application from the Google Play Store which is available as ‘The 108 GVK EMRI MEGHALAYA App’.
