ITANAGAR: In a concerted effort to enhance coordination, refine response protocols, and ensure the safety of lives, troops of the Indian Army at Rayang Military Station in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the district fire services, conducted a joint fire safety drill on Monday.
The exercise was a direct outcome of the recent military-civil fusion seminar and sought to strengthen emergency preparedness across agencies.
The drill simulated fire emergency scenarios to test reaction times, interoperability, and standard operating procedures.
Fire tenders, rescue equipment, and quick reaction teams were mobilised rapidly to execute containment, evacuation, and rescue drills under realistic conditions. Senior officials from the Army and fire services supervised the exercise and praised the high level of coordination and professionalism demonstrated.
The initiative achieved several key objectives: it strengthened inter-agency cooperation, sharpened emergency response readiness, and reinforced a safety-conscious culture among troops and civilians.
