ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Bullet Club (ABC), one of India's oldest motorcycling clubs, is embarking on a historic journey. The ride was flagged off from Kaho on January 18 by Brig. Jaspreet Singh of the 16 Bihar Regiment. The team from Kaho, led by Sanjay Nath, VC (Admin) of the ABC, will be joined by other riders from Itanagar (led by Nabam Rana) and Shillong (led by Chetan Mehra) along the route.
A contingent of 50 riders from across Arunachal Pradesh is embarking on a 3,500-kilometre ride from Kaho, the easternmost village in India, to Koteshvar, Rann of Kutch, the westernmost point of India. This "K2K" ride aims to promote a new riding-tourist route and enhance tourism in the region.
The riders will participate in the 22nd Brotherhood of Bulleteers Motorcycling Consortium (BOBMC) Rider Mania in Gujarat from January 31st to February 2nd, 2025.
Techi Tufan, Chief of the ABC, highlighted that the club has consistently served as tourism ambassadors for Arunachal Pradesh, actively participating in the BOBMC Rider Mania for the past six consecutive years.
Tanung Jamoh, Moderator of the Federation of Arunachal Riders (FAR), a federation of nine motorcycling clubs in the state, expressed the vision of hosting the 23rd BOBMC Rider Mania 2026 in Arunachal Pradesh. This prestigious event, expected to attract over 5,000 riders and participants from around the globe, will significantly boost tourism, media visibility, and economic activity in the state.
Rakhe Agam, affectionately known as the "Iron Lady" of the riding fraternity, expressed her pride as the Coordinator of the Lady Riders of ABC. She highlighted the historic nature of this ride, with a record eleven lady riders, including a few pillions, participating in the K2K journey.
