Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pasang Dorjee Sona underscored the importance of continuous learning, informed lawmaking, and ethical public service.
Speaking during the valedictory session of the two-day orientation programme for members of the 8th Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly at Nokmey Namati Hall here, Sona praised the initiative as a significant step towards strengthening democratic governance in the state.
He said the training will be helpful in strengthening legislative functioning and enhancing the effectiveness of elected representatives.
Assembly speaker Tesam Pongte encouraged the legislators to apply the knowledge gained to enhance the quality, integrity, and impact of legislative proceedings.
He thanked the legislators for their active engagement and the insightful contributions from the experts from the Parliamentary Research & Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE), Lok Sabha secretariat.
Assembly deputy speaker Kardo Nyigyor, in his speech, acknowledged the invaluable support of PRIDE, the dedication of the organising team, and the enthusiastic participation of all members, collectively contributing to the event’s success.
