Itanagar: Students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, Itanagar, gained valuable hands-on experience in advanced technology fields during an internship programme at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Naharlagun.
The visit aimed to expose students to the latest developments in computer technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), and provide practical insights into their real-world applications. Experts at NIELIT introduced students to foundational concepts of AI and ML, sparking their curiosity and inspiring them to explore these exciting fields. The hands-on experience allowed students to experiment with basic algorithms, tools, and software, enhancing their computer skills.
Earlier, on December 20, the school celebrated its Sports Day with enthusiastic participation from students in the primary and secondary sections.
The event showcased a variety of sports and activities, including the 100-meter race, relay race, tug-of-war, football matches, and other engaging competitions.
The day began with a spirited opening ceremony. Students demonstrated exceptional athletic skills and sportsmanship throughout the day, cheering each other on and making every competition lively and engaging.
The principal emphasized the importance of sports in a student’s life, highlighting their role in promoting fitness, discipline, and teamwork. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners and recognizing the efforts of all participants.
