Itanagar: The first-ever trekking expedition to Budum Lagney in Arunachal Pradesh's Papum Pare district was flagged off on Friday, marking a significant step in promoting the region's tourism potential.
Organized by the district tourism office in collaboration with the district administration under the Arunachal Tourism Society, the guide training-cum-trekking expedition is part of the National Tourism Day celebrations. The initiative aims to highlight the Budum Lagney heritage trekking trail, putting it on the tourism map of Papum Pare while providing hands-on training to unemployed youths, tourist guides, and tour operators.
