ITANAGAR: Incessant rain in the past couple of days triggered landslides in Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh damaging dwellings and inundating many government and private residences in the district headquarters Raga.

Damage due to heavy downpour have also been reported from many circles of the district, an official report informed here.

The main water supply pipeline of the district headquarters is reported to be damaged heavily and affected water supply to the residents. Restoration work on war footing is under progress which may take time, stated the report.

Report of damages to agriculture field and water supply structures has also been reported from Bam, Poku and Yukar Villages of Kamporijo circle of the district.

MLA Tarin Dakpe has urged the district administration and the DDMO, to assess the damages caused and extend all necessary assistance to the affected families, added the report.
