142 battalion CRPF organizes civic action programme

GOLAGHAT: The 142 battalion CRPF on Friday organized a civic action programme for the financial year 2020-21 in C sector of Uriyam Ghat.

Keeping in mind the aspirations and long-term demand of local people of the Assam-Nagaland border, many utility items were distributed during the civic action programme which included solar street lights, water purifier machines, hot and cold dispensers and various sports items for school children.

Besides this, under the corona awareness programme, everyone present was given a hand sanitizer, surgical face mask and other hygiene and sanitation materials. The Commandant was welcomed by the locals and a beautiful cultural programme was presented by school children. During his address, Commandant Bharat Kumar Vaishnav expressed gratitude to the locals and explained the importance of a civic action programme.
