HAFLONG: In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old worker, Luchit Thaosen, son of Joymandra Thaosen from Gurubari village, lost his life after falling from a high wall at the 120 MW Lower Kopili Hydroelectric Project site in Lonkhu, Dima Hasao, on Sunday. Luchit was employed under the L&T company.

According to one of his friends, Luchit had stepped away from his work to respond to nature’s call but circumstances surrounding his fall remain unclear. A relative of the deceased called for a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of his death.

Following the incident, Luchit’s body was transported to Haflong Civil Hospital for autopsy.
