KHERONI: The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang, spearheaded an engaging interaction programme with the Booth ‘Teenjonia Committee’ and secretaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) East and West Karbi Anglong district committees on Sunday at Ru Rangsina Sarpo Open Stage, Taralangso, Diphu. The event underscored the CEM’s commitment to fostering grassroots engagement and advancing developmental dialogue in the region ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
In his address, Tuliram Ronghang highlighted the significance of schemes such as ration cards, Orunodoi 3.0, infrastructure, roads, etc. emphasizing their importance in addressing the needs of the local populace. He announced a comprehensive assessment initiative, directing Mandal to booth-level committees to conduct a village-wise survey of households across all political parties, including BJP, APHLC, Congress, ASDC, and others in the duo hills district. This survey will serve as a critical final assessment to inform strategies for the upcoming elections.
The venue was meticulously prepared to welcome the CEM, who engaged directly with the district’s Mandal-level leaders, office bearers, and local representatives, reflecting his dedication to inclusive governance and transparent communication. The programme also featured the commemoration of the 124th birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, honouring the legacy of the revered nationalist leader and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
The event saw the participation of prominent figures, including Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Amarsing Tisso, MLAs Bidya Sing Engleng (Diphu), Rupsing Teron (Baithalangso), and Darsing Ronghang (Howraghat), alongside KAAC Executive Members, MACs, board chairmen, BJP East Karbi Anglong district committee President Ronald Killing, and BJP West Karbi Anglong district President Radip Ronghang. Former MLAs, EMs, MACs, and several notable BJP leaders also graced the occasion, reinforcing the event’s significance in uniting regional leadership for development and political coordination.
The interaction programme marked a pivotal step toward strengthening grassroots connectivity and ensuring that developmental initiatives reach every corner of Karbi Anglong, setting the stage for a robust electoral strategy in 2026.
