Advantage Assam 2.0: 304 MoUs signed in Golaghat district with investment of Rs 144.11 crore

GOLAGHAT: As part of Advantage Assam 2.0, a significant number of Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) were signed with investors in Golaghat district on Tuesday. With this, the total number of MoUs signed in Golaghat district stands at 304. These agreements will bring in a total investment of Rs 144.11 crore to the district.

Notably, as part of Advantage Assam 2.0, a major project for Golaghat district was announced centrally in Guwahati, and an MoU was signed. The project by Methane Hydrogen India Private Limited will see an investment of Rs 1500 crore. Furthermore, as part of this process, three financial sanction letters were signed by banks.

In this context, Golaghat district has become a focal point of Advantage Assam 2.0. The Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat Pulak Mahanta emphasized the importance of the district in various sectors such as industry and commerce, animal husbandry, agriculture, Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Panchayat and Rural Development, fisheries, handloom and textiles, and more.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed for cooperation from all stakeholders for further investments in the future.
