Arms and ammunition recovered from arrested rhino poacher in Orang National Park

On the night of January 12, a team of Darrang Police arrested a notorious criminal while he was hatching an evil plan for rhino poaching in Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve (ONPTR).

MANGALDAI: On the night of January 12, a team of Darrang Police arrested a notorious criminal while he was hatching an evil plan for rhino poaching in Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve (ONPTR). The arrested criminal has been identified as Mohammed Madid Mullah, (51 years), son of Late Hussain Ali Mullah of Village Bagaribari under Shyampur Police Station. Later, the apprehended criminal led the Police team to the recovery of one .303 rifle along with 11 live ammunition and two specially modified .315 rifles which were kept underground in a temporary cowshed at village Rowmari Chapori under the same Police Station. He also confessed before the Police that the recovered arms and ammunition were supplied by another absconding criminal from Dimapur in Nagaland.
