KOKRAJHAR: As the COVID-19 active cases crossed the 100 mark in the district, the District Mission Coordinator (DMC), Sarba Siksha Abhijan (SSA), Chirang, on Tuesday closed down all lower primary schools from class I to class V for a period of 15 days, up to May 19, 2021.

This order was issued by him considering the Assam Government's Notification No. ASE.01/2020/Pt-II/142 of May 19, 2021 issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of Elementary/Secondary and Higher Education and after having prior approval of the Deputy Commissioner and District Disaster Management Authority, Chirang.
