BOKAKHAT: Madhurima Choudhury, Assam’s first Bihu Queen and a veteran actress, was grandly felicitated on Sunday evening at the Ghanakanta Saikia and Tileswari Saikia Memorial Library in Bordihingia, Bokakhat, by several organizations. An intimate interaction was also held during the event.

Choudhury expressed regret over the current distortion of traditional Bihu dance and stated that only grandmothers (older women) have truly preserved the authentic form of the dance.
