Assam: Amguri Bandhoi to Honor Dr. Rita Choudhary with Rangamuwa Bir Award

GAURISAGAR: Amguri Bandhoi is one of the premier organizations in Sivasagar district constituted with former ASSU activists who took part in the Assam Agitation. The organization has been conferring the prestigious Rangamuwa Bir state award to veterans from the fields of literature, education, culture, sports, environment, and social work. This time, this award will be conferred to internationally-acclaimed litterateur and Xahitya Academy awardee Dr Rita Choudhary, in a function to be held at Dikhowmukh College on May 20 at 2 PM. This was stated by Dr Amorjit Saikia, Jadumoni Goswami , Jibon Krishna Goswami, and Dr Ranjit Kumar Baruah, President, Executive President, and secretaries respectively of Amguri Bandhoi in a press meet held at Dikhowmukh College. The former recipients of the Rangamuwa Bir award were Dr Krishna Kanta Hondique, Horen Bhuyan, and Tuwaram Khanikar.
