GUWAHATI: On Sunday night, a BJP leader who was identified as Jonali Nath was found horrifically killed in Assam's Goalpara district. Jonali Nath was the BJP's district secretary for Goalpara and was a Matia inhabitant. A suspect in connection with the murder has been apprehended by the local police for questioning.

According to reports, the murdered BJP leader's body was found on National Highway No. 17 close to Shalpara, Krishnai. According to sources, unidentified criminals killed her and dumped her body on the national highway before fleeing the scene. On Sunday night, people discovered the body, and they immediately alerted authorities.

She had several damage marks on her body, which suggested that she had been brutally attacked before dying. Locals claim that Nath was last seen on Sunday afternoon at a market.

As per another report, an old man was allegedly murdered earlier in May in Assam's Sonitpur district by the domestic help he had hired at his tea farm in Tezpur, according to a report. Malijan Tea Estate reported the terrifying incident.

Meanwhile, in connection with a horrifying murder case, Doomdooma Police in Assam managed to apprehend one guy on Sunday while leaving the other at large.

According to early accounts, the accused viciously beheaded two individuals in an attack with a sharp object, and one of them ran to avoid being taken into custody by the police.

Suren and Babul Muda were named as the deceased. The accused attacked them with a machete and beheaded them, killing them.

The incident, according to information gathered, happened at 12 Aathai Basti in Longsowal of Doomdooma in the Tinsukia district of Assam.

The motive for the killings has not yet surfaced. Police are looking into the situation and hope to detain the other suspect soon.

One Dhiren Toti has been named as the accused. Meanwhile, the event was reported to the neighborhood police.
