KOKRAJHAR: Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTR Pramod Boro on Wednesday vehemently condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday where at least 26 tourists lost lives besides scores being injured. He said that any subversive attempts of the terrorists will not work and can do no harm to India. “Our stand will always be with our country Bharat for the protection. The economies of the countries which are infiltrating terrorists and inspiring destructive activities are worse,” he said, adding that no force can destroy India.
Saying that the inhuman act of terrorists and violence cannot solve any problem, Pramod Boro mentioned that the countries that are fomenting trouble for others should realize it. He also said that to protect the country, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was taking prompt initiative for action against terrorist elements in Jammu and Kashmir.
CEM Pramod Boro also announced some landmark projects to be dedicated in the name of great Bodo leaders. He said that five Public Prosecutors in five districts of BTR will be appointed to look after the issues of human trafficking and women abuse. He also said that Premsingh Brahma Gym and Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Yoga Centre in 420 VCDCs would be set up with the fund of next financial year.
Replying to queries on imposing Assamese as compulsory, he said that the state government was using the three language formula in the state so that the Assamese language being a link language of the state survives and at the same time, the state government has not neglected other languages as well. He said that the Bodo language being included in the 8th Schedule, cannot be omitted by anyone.
On the visit of Adani’s son to Bashbari in Porbatjhora sub division looking for land to set up industries on April 22, Pramod Boro said that his visit was based on a proposed power plant in the area. He also said that the state government was looking for equal development in the state as it is going to witness a massive industrial growth after Advantage Assam 2.0.
