Assam: Campaigning for Panchayat Polls Heat Up in Demow

DEMOW: With few days left for the upcoming Panchayat polls, the BJP-led alliance candidates, Congress, and Raijor Dal were seen campaigning for the polls. According to information received, the newly-formed 95 No. Demow constituency and Demow co-district has 4 Zilla Parishad, 28 Anchalik Panchayat, and 280 Ward members. The candidates and their supporters are campaigning in their areas and trying to attract voters.

A few days ago, Gaurav Gogoi, Jorhat MP, attended an interaction programme organized by the Demow Block Congress Committee at Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building where he interacted with the candidates of the Congress party for the Panchayat polls. On the other hand, Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of 95 No. Demow constituency, is participating in the campaign meetings and campaigning for the BJP-led alliance party candidates. Under Demow Anchalik Panchayat, five ward members have won uncontested in the upcoming polls.
