GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota conducted a detailed review of the arrangements for the upcoming Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA), which will be held at BTCLA, Kokrajhar, on February 17. This session will be historic as it is the first time that the Assam Legislative Assembly session will be held outside the state capital.
During the review meeting, Kota emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and flawless execution to ensure the smooth conduct of the session. He directed the BTC Principal Secretary Akash Deep to finalize all logistical arrangements in coordination with the relevant departments.
Kota highlighted the need for proper seating, catering services, uninterrupted power and water supply, functioning sound systems, medical facilities, fire safety, traffic management, and the deployment of enough officers and staff.
This session is a significant event for Assam, and Kota urged all departments to work together seamlessly to create a successful and organized experience for the legislators and dignitaries attending.
The review meeting was attended by key officials, including BTC Principal Secretary Akash Deep, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Masanda M Pertin, Superintendent of Police Pushpraj Singh, as well as various secretaries and department heads of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
After the meeting, Kota and the concerned officials inspected the session hall, office chambers, and other important locations at BTCLA to ensure all preparations were on track.
