DHEKIAJULI: Dhekiajuli Police successfully rescued a young girl who was abducted from the Dhekiajuli Police Station area. The operation took place on the night of February 24 in Dhula, under Darrang district, following an intensive search effort.

According to reports, the girl, belonging to the Hindu community, was allegedly abducted on February 22 by a youth from a particular community. Following the incident, the victim’s family immediately filed an FIR at the Dhekiajuli Police Station, prompting law enforcement authorities to initiate an investigation.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a police team, led by SI Jakir Hussain of Dhekiajuli Police Station, launched a well-coordinated search operation during which the team successfully located and rescued the abducted girl from a hideout. However, the accused managed to flee before the police could catch him.

After the girl was rescued, she was brought back to Dhekiajuli, where she underwent a detailed interrogation to gather critical information about the incident. Meanwhile, the police has intensified its efforts to track down the accused and further investigate the case.
