Assam: Dibrugarh University Physics Department to Host Inaugural Alumni Meet on December 28

DIBRUGARH: The Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University is organizing its first ever alumni meet on December 28. For the successful organization of this much anticipated event of the department, an organizing committee has been constituted with Prof. Kalyan Bhuyan as the president, Dr. Ranjan Changmai as the executive president, Dr. Gouree Shankar Das as the general secretary, Prof. Pankaj Dutta as the treasurer, Dr. B. R. Kalita and Dr. A Borthakur as joint secretaries, Dr. B.D. Kakoty and Dr. B. Pathak as assistant secretaries.

As part of the celebration, a souvenir will be published with contributions from the former and present faculty members, alumni as well as the students of the department.

Speaking on the objectives of the event, Prof. Kalyan Bhuyan appealed to the esteemed alumni of the Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University to kindly be a part of this much coveted event to be held for the first time.

This event will provide the alumni an opportunity to connect themselves more strongly with their alma mater and their teachers, mentors and friends.

The day long programme provides an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the department, its founders, former and current faculty members and the alumni. Prof. Bhuyan also requested the alumni to kindly communicate with the organizing committee via the dedicated email address physicsdualumni@dibru.ac.in. The alumni meet will be inaugurated by Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University.
