DIBRUGARH: Delhi Public School (DPS), Dibrugarh celebrated its 7th Foundation Day with warmth and tradition.

The day witnessed a short programme which began with the welcome ceremony of the founders Mahavir Prasad Jain, PVC CA Sanjay Jain, Director Banita Jain, and board members Angel Jain and Devyanshi Jain. Extended family members and friends of the board members were also present in large numbers. The cultural segment began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to signify the school’s enduring quest for enlightenment, followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guests. The programme included Ganesh Vandana, a spellbinding instrumental performance, a vibrant dance tableaux, and soul stirring vocal performances. Each act reflected the school’s rich mosaic of talent. The skit depicting the journey of the school since its inception was highly applauded.

PVC CA Sanjay Jain, in his keynote address, thanked every stakeholder and reminisced the memories of the challenges and victories in establishing DPS Dibrugarh. He impressed on the need to inculcate values by the students, particularly in terms of respect and gratitude. Board Member Angel Jain also mentioned about her father’s dream being translated into reality with a lot of hard work and perseverance. She too mentioned about the arduous journey that the school undertook in the last 6 years.

Cheers erupted as the coveted trophies for Best House in Academics, Best House in Co-Curricular Activities, and the Overall Champion House of the previous session were presented by the founders to the euphoric students.

Pride swelled during the investiture of the student council, with the newly-elected leaders mounting the stage, and badges being presented to the student leaders by the board members.
