Assam: Earthquake-Resistant Construction Camp Held in Goalpara

DDMA Goalpara, in collaboration with ASDMA, conducted a three-day mason training on earthquake-resistant construction under the Balijana development block.

Goalpara: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Goalpara in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) carried out a three days block level mason training on earthquake resistant construction practices for the masons under the Balijana development block.

The digital training that included both in campus and outside practical, was imparted mainly by Bhola Shankar Sah and Sazid Alam Hoque, both assistant engineers from the PWD Building department. The training was participated by about twenty five masons. 

Earlier, the training was inaugurated on Tuesday by Preetom Raja Sharma, ADC on DDMA charge in presence of Kamal Pathak, DPO of DDMA Goalpara.

The masons, after the training expressed their excitement and gratitude that they they have undergone such a beneficial training seasons which will help them constructing disaster friendly construction in near future.
