GUWAHATI: Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu on Wednesday announced that any grievances related to amalgamation/merger may be sent to him at his email address.
The email address provided by the cabinet minister is email@example.com.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter the minister wrote, "Any complaint against a school amalgamation/merger order or request for modification, supported by strong logic or legitimate grounds may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Provide the correct UDISE code and current enrolment figure."
Further Pegu added that the state government is committed to strong redressal mechanisms and the welfare of our people.
Earlier this month, the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Kamrup (M) sought proposals for the merger/amalgamation of lower primary and upper primary schools with less than 30 students.
The official letter mentioned 15 base schools with which the government wants to merge or amalgamate 16 other schools with less than 30 students.
Notably, Namani Kamakhya LP will merge with Jibanram Durga Sarubor LP School, Veenapani Hindi LP School will merge with Prathamik Hindi LP School, Machknowa Majida LP School will merge with Bharalumukh LP School, Kharguli Sishu Bidyapith will Lalsing LP School, Majgaon Balika LP School with Majgaon Balak LP School, Rudrasing LP School with Rudreswar LP School, Uttar Banmaja LP School with Banmaja LP School, Katakipara LP School with Putuli LP School, Lachit Garh LP School with Amingaon Bengali LP School, Tilling Gaon LP School and Ghoramara LP School with North Guwahati ME School, Janajati ME School with Birubari Rupnagar ME School, Jitendra Nath ME School with Rupnagar Bidyapith ME School, Chitrachal ME School with Lalsing High School, Urban Government Senior Basic School with Cotton Collegiate High School and Netaji Sishu Bidyapith ME School with Pub Guwahati Adarsha High School.
