TINSUKIA: The 1st foundation day of Tinsukia Medical College& Hospital (TMC&H) was observed at Makum campus with 2-day activities while the concluding programme was concluded on Sunday. The programme began on Saturday with tree plantation, treasure hunt and sports among the medicos of 1st batch. The 2nd day programme witnessed March Past, flag hoisting, open session inauguration of wall magazine and cultural programme.

The open session was very impressive that began with Saraswati bandana and chorus. The TMC&H Principal Prof Rupak Kr Gogoi while delivering the welcome address recalled the genesis of college and said that the momentous occasion signified the culmination of years of planning, hard work and dedication to establish a world class medical college that will provide high quality education and health care services to community. Among others who gave encouraging and inspirational speech were Dr Rishi Das former vice principal of Tinsukia College and senior journalist as chief guest, Chinmoy Pathak ADC Health as guest of honour, Bipasha Borah chairperson Makum Municipal Board. Prof Mukul Sarma Medical Superintendent who offered vote of thanks congratulated all persons and stakeholders who assisted the institution to grow despite several constraints both in infrastructure and amenities. This institution is committed to provide health care services to the eastern most part of the State and also to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, said Dr Sarma.
