GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam, through the Controller of Examinations at the Assam State School Education Board, has announced the upcoming written examinations for Graduate and Post Graduate Teacher positions, as well as the Departmental Examination (DPE-2025) for Assam Police personnel seeking promotion to Sub-Inspector (UB). Scheduled for January 19, 2025, these examinations will take place in a total of 24,683 centers across the jurisdiction of the Police Commissionerate, Guwahati.
To maintain the sanctity of the examination process, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Imdad Ali issued an order wherein no unauthorized persons would be allowed within 100 meters of the examination centers to prevent malpractices that were seen in the previous examinations - use of mobile applications and interference from outsiders.
Only limited people will be given permission to enter, including the candidates who have valid admit cards, the officials conducting examinations, policemen on duty and representatives from the District Commissioner's office and SEBA Secretary authorized. TET and Departmental Examination would be strictly conducted in two shifts as per scheduled.
Against violation of the order, punishment will be meted out under Section 223, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The government is of the considered opinion that the examinations should be conducted freely, fairly, and transparently to bring public confidence in recruitment.
