Assam Legislative Assembly DRSC conducts spot study visit to Chirang

A review meeting led by DRSC Chairman Gobinda Chandra Basumatary was held at Chirang DC's office to assess progress on development projects and government schemes in the district.

KOKRAJHAR: A meeting was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the Chirang District Commissioner’s Office, following a Spot Study Tour conducted by the Departmentally Related Standing Committee (DRSC) for Development (A) Department, Assam Legislative Assembly. The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress of ongoing development projects and government schemes being implemented across the district in Chirang. The DRSC delegation was led by Chairman Gobinda Chandra Basumatary who is also the Deputy Chief of BTR, accompanied by committee members MLA Diganta Barman, MLA Ajoy Kumar Ray, and other officials.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed the functioning and implementation status of various departments, including Environment and Forest, PWD (Roads), PWD (Buildings), Power, DRDA, Water Resources, and others. Discussions were held on key developmental activities, challenges faced, and measures to ensure efficient execution of schemes.

The meeting was attended by Chirang District Commissioner Jatin Bora, ADC Arup Choudhury, along with officials from various departments.
