Assam: Leopard trapped in a cage at Maijan Tea Estate in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A full-grown adult leopard was trapped in a cage at Maijan Tea Estate in Dibrugarh on Wednesday. The leopard had been creating terror in the tea estate for several days. After the big cat was trapped, hundreds of villagers gathered to see the animal.

“We were having sleepless nights due to the leopard’s frequent venturing in our area. The iron cage was placed a few days ago to trap the animal. We are happy that the animal has been trapped,” said a villager. He added, “The leopard took away our livestock and created terror in our area.”
