
GUWAHATI: Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), organized a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ session with taxi drivers on January 24 as part of its ‘Going the Extra Miles for Services’ (GEMS) initiative.
The session aimed to help taxi drivers understand the vision for the new Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) and the overall growth of the airport, encouraging teamwork and shared progress.
The main topics discussed included using digital payments for easier transactions, keeping clean and well-groomed for a professional appearance, using the ‘Greet, Smile, and Thank You’ (GST) approach to improve customer service, and sharing details of the new terminal to build excitement and pride.
The session ended on a positive note, with taxi drivers showing enthusiasm for the changes and feeling more connected to the airport’s development.
As part of its ongoing efforts, LGBI Airport plans to introduce more engagement programs to support and train taxi drivers, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide the best possible service. These initiatives will help create a more efficient and passenger-friendly experience, reinforcing the airport’s commitment to continuous improvement
