Patshala: Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has reported a revenue collection of Rs 33 lakh in just two months, marking a boost for the park’s conservation and tourism efforts.
According to park authorities, over 10,000 tourists have visited the park during this period, including 500 international and 9,500 domestic visitors.
The surge in tourist numbers reflects growing interest in Manas National Park which offers activities such as jeep safaris, elephant safaris, and river rafting. These attractions allow visitors to explore the park’s landscapes and observe wildlife in their natural habitat.
Tourists have been flocking to the park’s various ranges, including Bansbari (Kahitam), Bhuyanpara, Panbari, and Kuklung. The increase in footfall is being celebrated as a positive sign for eco-tourism in the region.
Barin Boro, Ranger of the Bansbari Range, encouraged more visitors to experience the beauty of the park. He invited tourists who are planning trips to make Manas National Park their destination and enjoy its unique offerings.
The continued arrival of tourists is expected to further enhance the park’s revenue and conservation efforts, benefiting both the local economy and wildlife protection initiatives.
