BISWANATH CHARIALI: An open library named ‘Prajnan’ was inaugurated on Thursday on the bank of the historical Borpukhuri pond in the Gohpur town in Biswanath district. Inaugurating the library, eminent poet of Assam, Pranab Kumar Barman said that there has been a lot of revolutions in Assam, but the revolution of knowledge and wisdom seems to be lagging behind. “The great Vaishnavite Saint Shankardev had started a revolution by establishing libraries in Satras and Namghars to educate people and also to build a beautiful society, but the new generation has not been able to be a part of it,” he lamented.
