Assam: Prohibitory orders issued for peaceful conduct of recruitment examination in Sonitpur district

Tezpur: In view of maintaining peace and tranquillity during the upcoming Combined Written Test for recruitment of Sub-Inspector (UB) in Assam Police, Sub Inspector (AB) for Assam Commando Battalions, Sub Inspector of Police (Communication) in APRO and Assistant Deputy Controller, Civil Defense (Jr.) under DGCD & CGHG, Assam scheduled to be held on  January 5 at various centres in Sonitpur, District Magistrate Ankur Bharali has issued a prohibitory order U/S 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 throughout all the Examination centres of Sonitpur district. Accordingly, no person/guardian is allowed within the radius of 100 meters of examination centres except for candidates appearing in the examination (with valid Admit card duly signed by the competent authority), the supervisory staff and checking squad associated with the examination, agencies of the Government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services and any government employees/officials engaged in the conduct of the examination. No parking and plying of vehicles will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters from the examination centres except that of authorized person on duty during the examination period. Mobile phones, calculators and any other electronic gadgets/communication devices such as any bluetooth devices, smartwatch, earphones etc. shall not be allowed inside the examination centres/ premises except that of centre in-charge and authorized persons on duty. No food stall, shops including existing markets will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters of Examination centers and no other person will be allowed to guide candidates for sitting on their allotted seats except the supervisory staff of examination centre.

The order further mentions that any violation of this order will invite penal action as per Section 223 of BNS, 2023. This order will come into force from 6:00am on January 5 and will remain effective until the completion of the examination process.
