Assam Rifles organizes medical camp under operation Sadhbhavna in Silchar

SILCHAR: Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of headquarters 21 sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a medical camp under operation Sadhbhavna at village Phailanpunji of Cachar district on Friday. This is part of the relentless and sustained efforts of Assam Rifles to become close and friendly to the people with care and affection. It needs no repetition that insurgents still active under instructions from extraneous forces have mellowed down. With that extortions and other criminal activities have been minimised.

Medical team from Assam Rifles and civil doctors from Harinagar PHC attended the patients, diagnosed their problems and provided requisite medicines. 416 villagers from adjoining places got benefits free of cost from the medical camp.

The villagers were all elated and expressed their happiness to Assam Rifles for holding the camp in a remote place to provide basic and necessary medical treatment to the village folk in need. In fact, the villagers have to suffer a lot as the area lacks requisite health care infrastructure. The Assam Rifles has earned a place of distinction and appreciation for their involvement in philanthropic works in far and near areas to reach the benefits of welfare measures. The drive has brought about remarkable change in the way of living of the people of plain and hilly areas.
