KOKRAJHAR: A road safety skit was performed at the Parade Ground, Kajalgaon, in the Chirang district on Friday. The programme was organized by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The event was part of a larger initiative for National Road Safety Month, observed from January 1 to January 31, aimed at raising awareness about road safety and encouraging responsible behaviour on the roads.
The skit highlighted key road safety issues through engaging and entertaining performances, conveying important messages about adopting safer road practices.
Chirang District Commissioner Jatin Bora, ADC Firdous Alam Sheikh, officials from District Administration, and heads of various departments were present to stress the importance of community participation in promoting road safety. The event drew a diverse audience, including residents and students, all of whom actively participated.
