Assam: Several injured in tragic accident in Mailoo Bazar

KHERONI: A Tata Nexon, bearing registration number AS01GF5967, lost control and crashed in Mailoo Bazar under Kheroni Police Station of Mailoo Out Post, causing serious injuries to several individuals. The incident occurred as the vehicle, driven by Eshwar Nepal, was heading towards Mailoo Nepali Basti. The speeding car first broke the roadside railing of the Mailoo market and collided with a parked motorcycle, causing significant damage.

Some people sustained minor injuries, while the other victims were rushed to Kheroni Model Hospital by 108 ambulances. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were referred to Diphu Medical College and Hospital (DMC&H) for advanced treatment. The identities of the injured persons have not yet been confirmed by the authorities.

The police have seized the vehicle, which was registered just two months ago, and detained the driver, Eshwar Nepal. Mailoo Outpost Incharge (IC) Khalilur Rahman, in a telephonic conversation, stated that the medical requisition is still awaited. The police are actively investigating the incident.
