Assam: Sonitpur DC Holds Coordination Meet Ahead of Panchayat Election 2025

TEZPUR: District Commissioner Ankur Bharali, accompanied by Election Observers Bhupesh Chandra Das, Bhaskar Das, and Kanta Das, held a coordination meeting on Tuesday in connection with the upcoming Panchayat Election 2025 in Sonitpur district. Also present at the meeting were District Development Commissioner Lakhinandan Saharia, Superintendent of Police Barun Purkayastha, Chief Executive Officer of Sonitpur Zila Parishad Karabi Saikia Karan, Additional District Commissioners, and the Election Officer. The meeting, held at Conference Hall-2 of the District Commissioner’s Office, was attended by both police and civil zonal and sector officers to ensure smooth coordination and preparedness for the election process. It is to be noted that Sonitpur district is scheduled to go to the polls in the first phase of the upcoming Panchayat election on May 2. Electors will be able to exercise their franchise from 7:30 am to 4:30pm.
