Assam State Election Commission Holds Review Meeting on Panchayat Election Preparedness in Goalpara

Goalpara, Dec 18: The Assam State Election Commission (ASEC) on Wednesday organized a review meeting on the ensuing panchayat election preparedness for the six Lower Assam districts at the conference hall of the Goalpara district commissioner. The meeting was chaired by Alok Kumar, Commissioner of ASEC and DCs and SPs of Goalpara, Dhubri, Bajali, Bongaigaon, Mankachar and South Salmara and Barpeta participated in the programme. The  Commissioner took a power point presentation from the districts and emphasised upon smooth functioning of  the election and suitable preparedness of voters list, polling centres, counting management, transportation of poll duty officers, arrangements of law and order situation etc.
