Dhekiajuli: In a moving display of devotion and reverence, the 437th Tirobhav Tithi of Mahapurush Srimat Deva Damodara Deva will be celebrated with grandeur at Maduribil Satra, a prominent branch of Assam’s illustrious royal Satras, on April 28. The event, marked by spiritual fervour, will witness devoted participation from disciples of four neighbouring villages, who will offer their homage through soulful Naam Prasanga (devotional chanting) and heartfelt Guru Vandana ceremonies.

Commemorating the occasion, the Sonitpur District Committee of the Mahapurush Srimat Deva Damodara Sangha will organize a special pilgrimage on April 28 to Maduribil Satra, aiming to rejuvenate the fading Deva Damodari culture that remains an integral part of Assam’s spiritual heritage. The committee has made an earnest appeal for the widespread participation of disciples across the district.

The celebrations owe much to the tireless efforts and leadership of the committee members: Dr. Jugal Krishna Deka (Sanghadhikar), Bhupen Bordoloi (Deputy Sanghadhikar, Administrative), Anil Bora (Deputy Sanghadhikar, Organizational), Diganta Bora (Deputy Sanghadhikar, Public Relations), Dr. Ankur Jyoti Goswami (General Secretary), Dr. Mridul Deka (Cultural Secretary), Bikash Jyoti Nath (Literary Secretary), and Dhanjit Sarma (Treasurer). Their collective commitment has ensured that the event not only honours the legacy of the revered Mahapurush but also rekindles the cultural and spiritual bonds within the community.
