Pathsala: In a major crackdown on wildlife crime, the Manas Forest Department arrested two poachers in Baksa’s Boro Bazar for attempting to sell tiger teeth illegally. As per report, the accused, Firoz Narzary (40) and Minister Basumatary (26), were caught red-handed at a tea shop with four tiger teeth, a scooter, and two mobile phones. Acting on intelligence, forest officials swiftly carried out the operation near Manas National Park, preventing the illegal trade.
Authorities suspect their involvement in a larger trafficking network and are investigating further. The duo is in custody, and legal proceedings are underway. Meanwhile, the department has urged the public to report any wildlife crimes.
