SIVASAGAR: Along with the rest of the world, the historic town of Sivasagar observed the World Consumer Rights Day on March 15. The event was organized by the Sivasagar District Grahak Suraksha Samiti at the Nikunjalata Chaliha Smriti Anganwadi Shishu Vidyalay in Amolapatty, Sivasagar.
A formal meeting was held on the occasion under the chairmanship of educationist Jyotiprasad Dutta. Addressing the gathering, General Secretary of the Sivasagar District Grahak Suraksha Samiti and senior journalist Pranjal Rajguru highlighted the challenges consumers face in their daily lives.
Several speakers emphasized the importance of consumer awareness and discussed the various initiatives undertaken by the Grahak Suraksha Samiti to safeguard consumer rights and address grievances.
