BJP for post-poll alliance in BTC: Ranjeet Kumar Dass

BONGAIGAON: “BJP will play the role of power partner in the next BTC Government,” announced Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development of Assam, on Thursday at Bongaigaon. He said that BJP will ally with any party that gets the maximum seats in this election.

Visit of Ranjeet Kumar Dass just before the elections is expected to make a significant effect. Addressing the media regarding BJP’s groundwork for BTC election, Dass said that the party was working on the micromanagement level. “Our main strength is the booth, and we always focus on booth-level development. You can see our development in the last two BTC elections. In the beginning, we had won in just one seat which increased to nine in the last election. We are confirmed that we will not clutch less than 18 seats this time,” he said.

Dass also mentioned that BJP may ally with any party after the election. “We will play the role of power partner. We decided to participate solo in this election. But after the election, we may ally with any party who would get the maximum seats,” he said.

Speaking about the party’s motto, Ranjeet Dass said that BJP’s primary aim is to serve the people and not merely to gain power. “And as we are committed to our principles, we are confident about our success in the election,” he stated.
