BTC chief pitches for technological advancement of Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar (CITK)

KOKRAJHAR: The 3rd Convocation of CIT-Kokrajhar was held at Bodofa Cultural in Kokrajhar on Friday. The 464 graduates of various departments of the CITK were given graduation certificates.

In his speech, the CEM of BTC and the president of CITK Society Pramod Boro said this programme was a testament for the students who have achieved their degree. He said CIT had a great name to produce quality students and contribution. CIT is playing a pivotal role in transformation of technical education which is very important. The dynamic eco system of BTR from health care to water resource, education to agricultur is unequivocally contributing for solidifying technical education, professional development, preserving and promoting indigenous knowledge, computing space education, social management etc. He said the CIT can contribute not only for technical advancement but also in social empowerment and traditional knowledge. The education and passing out certificate is not only for acquiring degrees but will participate in transforming the society with the responsibility.

      Boro called upon the Directors of the CIT to develop the CITK both in academic and infrastructures of the institution. He said the 3rd  Convocation ceremony

of the prestigious CITK) was a

refreshing and revitalizing momentous. “As we gather here to celebrate their achievements, I cannot help but reflect on the journey that each of them has undertaken.

Today marks not just the culmination of years of hard work, but the beginning of new challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities. Today, we

celebrate the fruits of their hard work, perseverance, and personal growth”, he said adding that the students did hard working, late-night study session to overcame. He also said they students had not only earned a degree; they’ ve

earned the respect of everyone around. He further said the role of CITK in fostering an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous future for the institution stands as a beacon of regional aspirations, playing a pivotal people of BTR.

         In his speech, Prof. A. Srinivasan, Director of the CITK said altogether 468 students including 301 undergraduate students and 102 diploma students received pass out certificate on the occasion and13 PhD students, 48 postgraduate also received their degrees and diplomas today.

Technology, Kokrajhar said the institute was currently offering the following programs of Diploma (3 years) in Electronics and Communication Engineering

(ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Control and

Instrumentation (CAI), Food Processing Technology (FPT), Civil Engineering (CE) and Animation & Multimedia Technology (AMT). Bachelor of Technology programs under Direct Entry (4 years) and Vertical/Lateral Entry (3 years) schemes in Civil Engineering (CE), Computer Science Electronics & Engineering (CSE), Communications Engineering (ECE), Food Engineering & Technology (FET) and Instrumentation Engineering (IE). & D. Des. under Direct and Vertical Entries in Dept. of Multimedia

Communication & Design (MCD).
