Dhakuakhana holds overall review meeting

LAKHIMPUR: The Dhakuakhana subdivisional administration under Lakhimpur district organized an overall review meeting on Friday covering the subdivisional heads of all government departments. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO)-Civil, Dhakuakhana, in the presence of Sumit Sattawan, the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur. The meeting commenced with Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley in the chair under the management of SDO-Civil Gurnel Singh.

In the meeting, the subdivisional heads of Health Department, Education Department, Lok-Nirman Department, Public Health and Engineering Department, Veterinary Department, Agriculture Department, Electricity Department, Irrigation Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department along with other government departments were present. They extended the report on the progress of various developmental schemes implemented in the subdivision by the departments concerned.

The meeting also reviewed the current COVID-19 scene in the subdivision in addition to discussing the measures to be taken to tackle flood situation, erosion problem and to strengthen the communication and transport systems. A slew of resolutions were taken in the meeting over the discussed issues. Lakhimpur Zila Parishad chairperson Manju Borgohain, Block Development Officers of Dhakuakhana, Ghilamora and Boginadi Development Blocks were also present in the meeting.
