Dima Hasao Congress MAC Daniel Langthasa resigns from the party

HAFLONG: In a political twist in Dima Hasao, Congress MAC Daniel Langthasa resigned from the party after informing the president of Dima Hasao District Congress Committee on Friday.

In his letter to the president, Dima Hasao District Congress Committee, Daniel Langthasa stated that the party had given him a lot and he was forever indebted for all the opportunities. But he was strongly disillusioned by the lack of democracy and accountability that had been witnessed in the party for far too long now.

People of Dima Hasao deserve better at this point of time and he has to stand with the people for whom he is in politics today, he added.
