Excise raids conducted in Bongaigaon district

BONGAIGAON: Excise personnel of Bongaigaon district conducted raids in different areas of the district during the last 24 hours and achieved a grand success.

Based on inputs, Abhayapuri Excise personnel conducted raids in four places -- Tilapara, Malipara, Deohati and Tulungia. A total of 100 kg of fermented wash, 20 litres of illegal distillation liquor, 11 bottles of beer and 750 ml of IMFL (India Made Foreign Liquor) were recovered here.

On the other hand, another team from the Bijni Excise party conducted raids at Chakihali, and Nowapara and other places under Manikpur Police Station. During the operation, the personnel seized 25.680 bulk litres of IMFL and 6.5 bulk litres of beer.
