KOKRAJHAR: Ceremonial distribution of grants-in-aid was held under Individual Beneficiary Scheme (IBS) 2021-22 by the Sericulture department, Kokrajhar. The grants-in-aid were distributed by EM Daobaisa Boro on Wednesday at Bodoland Silk Park, Adabari, Kokrajhar in presence of Dr Jagesh Deori OSD, Sericulture BTC, A. Chakravarty, CHD, Sericulture BTC, Sameswar Basumatary, PRO BTC, and other officers and staff of the Sericulture department of BTC. One-time financial assistance was paid to the silks worn rearers at Rs 10,000 each for the year 2021-22. The total number of beneficiaries is 160. As many as 43 beneficiaries were benefited in Kokrajhar.
The EM in his speech said that the amount paid to the beneficiaries should be used in a proper way. "We have to improve our livelihood with these projects/schemes by making economical benefits," he said, adding that some important projects/schemes had been taken by the BTC government like Bodoland Super 50 for UPSC, Super 50 for medical students, Super 50 for IIT coaching this year under guidance of Boro, CEM of BTC.
