Girl kidnapped in broad daylight near Silchar’s Town High School

SILCHAR: A girl student of Class 10 was abducted in broad daylight on Friday morning by four youths. The cousin of the abducted girl said that four youths forcibly dragged her inside a car just in front of the Town High School at Steamer ghat road and sped towards the Sadarghat bridge. Her parents were informed immediately and they subsequently filed a complaint with the Malugram outpost.

The family of the abducted girl had shifted to Silchar recently from Hailakandi and was staying in the Ghaniala area.

A teacher of Town School said that it was early morning and the nearby shops were closed. It was suspected that the abductors knew that and took advantage of the situation. Till evening, there was no report of any breakthrough in the case.
